This week I really put the tiny knife to the paper and finished another large scale paper cut. It’s another zentangle design, but unlike the previous few, this one had a lot of small details to work out.
Since so much of it is comprised of various sized (but all mostly small) rhombuses there were a lot of very small corners edges and corners to cut. They generally get torn or over cut if you go too fast so I try and go back in with the blade and work out any extra paper after I cut out an entire row.
After that, I used a brush and india ink instead of a sharpy. With so many small edges and surfaces it was much easier to get in between the gaps with a small brush.
With the right light it casts a nice shadow too. Hopefully you all agree.
